I caught the travel bug in High School when I was gifted with a Rotary Exchange scholarship from my high school in Buffalo, MN.
I have been following the urge to travel ever since…

Lots of experiences to remember:

  1. Denmark for a year of Rotary Exchange where I met some wonderful lifelong friends,

  2. Teaching English at an Agricultural College in Meknes, Morocco,

  3. Spending a summer during college in Cologne, Germany,

  4. Spending a winter break during college buying goods in Istanbul, Turkey to sell as Xmas presents back in Mpls.

  5. Spending a summer break in Oslo, Norway before the Winter Olympics.

  6. High School English teacher in Yawatahama, Japan on the Japan Exchange & Teaching (JET) Program.

  7. Travels around Australia & New Zealand with a fellow JET friend.

  8. Peace Corps Volunteer in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

  9. Camping at the Mount Everest base camp in Nepal.

  10. Visits to Petra in Jordan during my tour of Israel.

  11. Work conferences: England, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Sweden, Estonia, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Scotland, Finland, Singapore, & Hong Kong.

  12. Pleasure nature travel with REI (pre Covid): South Africa, South America, Galapagos, Dolomites, Scottish Lacs & Highlands.
